Coaches - Checking In
CHECK IN TIME: ALL COACHES/EVENT SUPERVISORS MUST BE CHECKED IN BY 7;30AM. STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO GO TO HOMEROOMS OR COMPETE UNTIL COACHES HAVE ARRIVED.
1. Please have all FORMS with you. Please have Varsity Roster / Jv Roster in alpha order.
- Medical and Media Release forms for all team members
- Volunteer Code of Ethics form for EVERY adult that is present including coaches.
2. Parking is at a premium. Parking is available in front and in back of the building as well as in the parking lot northeast of the Birkett Freshman Center by the tennis courts. There is an access road for this.
3. Coaches must check in teams before kids can go to homerooms. Please be prompt!
4. Coaches will pick up a Team Packet that will have a listing of homerooms, hospitality information, FAQ's for the day, and a garbage bag to clean up homeroom space after the tournament.
Please ask students to leave all personal belongings in the homeroom. Personal belongings brought to an event will be placed at the front (or back) of the event room.
NOTE ON CELLPHONES: Cellphones MUST be turned off and put inside a personal belonging that is left at the front (or back) of the room. Phones may NOT be kept on a student during an event. Students found with cellphones may be asked to leave the event room.
We are fortunate to be able to use the Birkett Freshman Center for this Invitational. Please respect our school!
A list of homerooms for each school will provided at check in. Homerooms are either in classrooms or in the Cafeteria. This is your 'homebase' and there should be a reliable adult / team member watching your items throughout the day. Please use the garbage bag you receive at registration to throw out trash at the end of the day. Homerooms that are left messy or damaged will result in a fine charged to your school.
Coaches are invited throughout the day to the LMC (Library Media Center) for light breakfast items and lunch. Coaches/Event Supervisors only.
For parents and students, we will have concessions starting mid morning. Firehouse subs, chips, soda, water, candy, coffee, and nachos.
Teams may also bring their own food however, no food deliveries will be accepted. For the safety of all, students should not leave the building at any point throughout the day.
Medals will be given for the 1st 5 places in each event. We will not differentiate between Varsity and JV. All teams are competing against each other in the same grouping!
Awards will be in the Main Gym and will begin around 4:00pm or as soon as scoring is complete. We ask that after the last event, all teams load cars/buses with your belongings including your impounded devices. Parents/visitors are welcome to attend the Awards ceremony but be advised that space will be tight.
